The Mutant Dance show will take you on a journey through house, techno, post-punk, EBM, disco, nu-disco and much more as no genres are off limits.
Deen owes his beginnings to the lessor-known yet institutional, Killing Time of Windsor Chapel St. It is here he first began to experiment with old records chosen from his elder brother’s collection of tasteful techno and house gems. From this stemmed a monthly residency at “Survivor! Club of LEGENDS!”. Where Deen opened the night up at Bottom End downstairs. Along with the two venues above, Deen is also playing regularly at Revolver Upstairs & Brown Alley (Resident of STRANGER).
Hailing from the Geelong region, Dhunt has been djing for over 9 years and has played his brand of diverse, often psychedelic disco, house and techno across Australia, Germany and the U.K. in a variety of venues.
Eddie Example made a name for himself playing at Geelong’s infamous National hotel where you could often find him behind the helm for 5+hours jamming a vast array of tracks from his personal collection.
A walking encyclopaedia of dance music, Eddie’s passion has led him more recently to new roles such as running ‘Mutant Dance’ where he has brought down to Geelong the likes of Optimo, Andee Frost & Tornado Wallace to name but a few. With the vibe showcasing a classic blend Chicago House, Detroit Techno and Disco.
With his party a truly unique fixture in Geelong’s nightlife and guest spots at Melbourne institutions such as Revolver Upstairs, Brown Alley, KillingTime, monthly residencies with Power Station and Hell (Melbourne), Eddie knows his way around a dj booth or two. With call-ups to support artists such as Phil Kieran, Funk D’void, Pleasurekraft, Jimmy Edgar, Redshape, Kolsch, Len Faki, Danny Daze, Dixon and Techno legends Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills and Dave Clarke it’s apparent Eddie’s versatility and nice guy nature are here to stay.
